Details

One of the jewel beetles, it is commonly known as the "Frog Beetle" due to the un-proportionally large hind legs. Sagra buqueti is the largest of the frog leg beetles family.

As you can see on the picture shown here, the beetle's exoskeleton is a highly metallic green with a cerise and gold colored band running down its back.
