Details
Morpho rhetenor is a "highly" sought after butterfly
from Neotropic ecozone (South America). The first description
was in 1775 by Cramer. With a wingspan of 14.0 17.0 cm
the Blue Morpho is a big member of the family NYMPHALIDAE. Nearly
all Morpho butterflies are blue, because of the phenomenal microscopic
structure of there scales. The morpho rhentenor has the most brilliant
blue of all butterflies.
